Centre for Public History, Heritage and Engagement with the Past

The Centre for Public History, Heritage and Engagement with the Past promotes a range of activities, including original research projects with local and international partners, knowledge transfer and collaboration, partnership and consultancies between museums, archives, historic monuments and houses, heritage sites and the media.

Drawing on a range of scholars, researchers and practitioners it provides a forum for national debate and discussion and a source of comment and critique on key issues relating to public history, heritage, commemoration and oral history and memory.

The Centre is located in the Department of History at Royal Holloway, University of London.
